view 32

A meeting with representatives of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture was held at Tashkent State Agrarian University. During the meeting, prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed. Particular attention was paid to issues related to the exchange of students and faculty members, as well as participation in degree programs offered by educational institutions in Germany.
The negotiations were led by A. Abduvosikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Strategic Development of Tashkent State Agrarian University, who also provided information on the university’s activities in the field of international cooperation. In particular, he highlighted the scientific and practical cooperation of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry with higher education institutions in Kazakhstan, as well as the collaboration of the Agronomy program with universities in Tajikistan. It was emphasized that previously implemented joint projects in the fields of seed production and water resources had contributed to expanding the exchange of experience in agricultural practices and had played an important role in strengthening scientific and academic ties between the two countries.
In addition, the importance of developing education and scientific research in such pressing areas as climate change, irrigation systems, and water resources management was highlighted.

At the same time, it was noted that interest in improving the quality of education and scientific approaches, as well as in learning foreign languages—particularly the German language—is steadily increasing. At the conclusion of the meeting, new plans for international cooperation were agreed upon.
