COOPERATION BETWEEN TDAU AND FAO WILL BE STRENGTHENED

Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University N. Oblomuradov received a delegation led by Deputy Head of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Office in Uzbekistan Sherzod Umarov. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the two organizations, as well as the delegation members (FAO) expert, as well as Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Hafiz Mominjonov, Technical Coordinator of the organization Olimjon Kakhhorov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Transformation and Strategic Development of the university A. Abduvasikov. During the meeting, issues such as further strengthening of mutual cooperation between TSAU and FAO, increasing the participation of our specialists who know foreign languages ​​in various international conferences, jointly organizing international conferences, organizing a soil museum, holding various competitions throughout the year, creating a cooperation calendar, and establishing a resource center of (FAO) on the territory of the university were discussed, and a number of beneficial agreements were reached. For your information, Uzbekistan and FAO have been cooperating since 2001. Ten years ago, a representative office of this organization was opened in Uzbekistan, and many joint projects in the field of agriculture and food security are currently being implemented.
