Tashkent State Agrarian University expands cooperation with German universities
In 2018 at the Tashkent State Agrarian University in cooperation with the German Institute for the Development of Agricultural Economics. Leibniz was created joint branch "Economics of Agriculture". Currently, 3 doctoral students from Uzbekistan are studying at this department. Leading professors from German universities IAMO, Halle, Gissen and Xoenxaym come to the university and teach them.
On June 13, 2019, a delegation of IAMO headed by Professor Thomas Glauben visited Tashkent State Agrarian University to expand cooperation.
During the visit, an agreement was reached on the implementation of a new innovative project on the most topical areas of expanding scientific and practical cooperation between the two educational institutions, including certification of environmentally friendly products in agriculture of Uzbekistan, digitization of agriculture in Uzbekistan.
For a huge contribution to the development of agrarian science in Uzbekistan, Professor Thomas Glauben was awarded the title "Honorary Doctor" of Tashkent State Agrarian University.
