AN "ENERGY AUDIT" IS BEING CONDUCTED AT OUR UNIVERSITY!

Saving electricity is our main goal! At a meeting held on August 27, 2024 under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, within the framework of the implementation of the instructions given on ensuring energy efficiency in the country and expanding the use of alternative energy sources, the “Energy Audit” work has begun at our university. This process is being carried out by a working group organized under the leadership of the Vice-Rector for Finance and Economic Affairs D.Mamadiyarov. The group includes the Chief Power Engineer A. Choriyev and professors and teachers of the Department of “Mechanization and Automation of Agriculture”. They are working in the following areas:
• Study and analysis of the technical condition of lighting in the university courtyard and buildings;
• Checking the condition of protective devices (fuses, automatic disconnectors) at transformer stations;
• Assessing the working condition of the main and backup cables connecting transformers and buildings;
• Analyzing the level of use of solar panels installed on buildings. These measures are aimed at optimizing the use of electricity, reducing technical losses, and expanding the effective use of alternative energy sources at the university. Based on the results of the study, the working group plans to develop proposals for energy saving and implement them. Ensuring energy efficiency is one of the urgent tasks facing not only our university, but also our entire society. The results achieved during this audit will serve to form a sustainable energy management system at our university.
