The event was held under the leadership of the University Rector N. Oblomuradov and was actively attended by vice-rectors, faculty deans, heads of departments, as well as professors and lecturers.
The Rector of the University emphasized that modern laboratories and international cooperation contribute to improving the quality of education and enhancing students’ knowledge and practical skills. He also noted that training competitive specialists with strong scientific thinking for the agrarian sector is a priority task.
A modern-style exhibition corner featuring soil specimens, arranged at the entrance of the faculty, attracted special attention from the seminar participants. The exhibition showcased 22 types of soil samples characteristic of desert, foothill, and mountainous regions, clearly demonstrating their diversity and scientific and practical significance.
Within the framework of the event, participants became closely acquainted with the activities of a modern scientific laboratory established in cooperation with Chungnam National University of the Republic of Korea under the project “Improving the Agricultural Environment and Training Professional Personnel in Uzbekistan.”
After that, the Uzbekistan–China Soil, Plant and Fertilizer Analysis Laboratory established at the faculty was visited.
In addition, soil samples collected from various regions and displayed in the A. Rasulov Educational and Practical Classroom aroused great interest among the participants. During the seminar, the activities of the Plant Chemical Protection Laboratory were also reviewed, and relevant proposals and opinions were expressed by scientists and young researchers regarding the quality of scientific research and its practical significance.
It should be noted that the Faculty of Plant Protection, Agrochemistry and Soil Science is currently carrying out consistent activities aimed at training highly qualified specialists for the national agrarian sector, conducting scientific research in accordance with international standards, and introducing innovative technologies into practice.
This seminar is significant in further strengthening the integration of agrarian education and science, expanding international cooperation, and enhancing the role and potential of the agrarian sector in the development of the New Uzbekistan.
