The event was opened by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Enlightenment Work of the university, J. Lapasov, who emphasized the importance of ongoing educational efforts in this direction. After that, a lecture was delivered by D. Ikhvoldinov, a postgraduate trainee and lieutenant colonel of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In his speech, he stated: “We have two paths before us — one is enlightenment, the other is ignorance. Choosing the right path depends on each individual.”
During the event, students received detailed information about the illegal trade of narcotic and psychotropic substances, the consequences of being deceived into joining religious-extremist movements, and the harmful impact of such actions on society and individuals. The negative outcomes of these situations were further explained through video clips based on real-life examples. In addition, the criminal liabilities prescribed for such offenses were thoroughly clarified.
