As part of the awareness-raising events held from November 25 to December 10 under the slogan“Unite to End Digital Violence Against Women”, dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a roundtable discussion titled“A Life Without Violence — Every Woman’s Right”was held at the Tashkent State Agrarian University.

The event was opened by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work J. Lapasov. During the meeting, important views were expressed on protecting women’s rights, preventing digital violence, applying appropriate reporting mechanisms in cases of abuse, and improving legal literacy.
The roundtable was attended by N. Normukhamedova, leading specialist of the Department for Enhancing Legal Culture in Families, Prevention of Offenses, and Prevention of Pressure and Violence of the Committee on Family and Women Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Z. Mamatqulovna, senior lecturer and lieutenant colonel of the Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the event, female students received preventive information, and potential risks in the digital environment and ways to protect themselves were explained in detail. Additionally, the Chairperson of the University’s Women’s Affairs Advisory Council G. Shodmonova delivered information on the topic and provided useful recommendations to the students. At the end of the event, active participants were awarded letters of appreciation from the university administration.
