In order to strengthen religious tolerance and interethnic harmony among young people and to protect them from alien ideas, a roundtable discussion on the topic “Enlightenment Against Ignorance” was held at our university.
During the event, industry experts and responsible officials delivered speeches, focusing on the formation of ideological immunity against information attacks in today’s era of globalization. Guests of the event included Jumayev Shokhrukh Shukhratjon ugli, a responsible officer of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Karimov Jamshid Rustamovich, Head of the Qibray District Department of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment. The main focus was placed on preventing radicalization among youth and their exposure to extremist influences, promoting a culture of responsible use of the Internet and social networks, and emphasizing that science and enlightenment are the most powerful weapons against ignorance.
At the end of the meeting, students received detailed answers from specialists to their questions. This dialogue became an important step in increasing the legal and religious literacy of young people.
