Nizamiddin Mir Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, who hold a unique place in the history of our classical literature, have become an integral part of world literature. On the occasion of the 585th anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi and the 543rd anniversary of the birth of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, large-scale spiritual and educational events and literary evenings are being regularly organized at the university. In particular, the literary and educational evening held today under the theme “Garden of Poetry” was rich in content and significance. During the event, issues such as the life path and creative work of Alisher Navoi and Babur, as well as their importance in the moral development of the younger generation, were discussed. At the beginning of the event, guests became acquainted with the “Renaissance” lecture series and the “Art Gallery” exhibition, which featured creative works by talented students. Opening the event with welcoming remarks, the Rector of the University, N. Oblomuradov, particularly emphasized the invaluable role of the works of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in our national literature and spiritual life. Among the participants were M. Mirzo, First Deputy Chairman for Creative Affairs of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan and Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan; M. Abduqunduzov, actor of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre and People’s Artist of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan; and literary scholar, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor N. Jabbarov. They expressed meaningful views on the significance of classical literature and the incomparable place of Navoi’s and Babur’s works. The book fair organized by the Information Resource Center, as well as the artistic program performed by the “Bo‘ston” Song and Dance Ensemble featuring musical compositions based on the ghazals of the two great figures, were warmly received by all.
The university’s professors and students actively participated in the event and watched the spiritual and educational evening in high spirits. Performances of Navoi’s ghazals, artistic compositions, and monologues left a deep impression on the hearts of those present.
The spiritual and educational event “Garden of Poetry” was organized in harmony with noble goals and served to promote a deeper study of the heritage of our great ancestors, as well as to further strengthen in the hearts of young people a sense of national pride and respect for spiritual values.
