Recently, an open dialogue between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the youth took place. More than 60,000 young representatives from across the country participated in the meeting, where critical tasks were identified regarding youth employment, entrepreneurship, education, and social activity. In this regard, the Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, N. Oblomuradov, delivered a lecture on the priority tasks set during this meeting. Particular attention was paid to training youth in modern professions, developing innovative startups, supporting entrepreneurship, expanding dual education, and strengthening international cooperation.By the decision of the University Council, specific tasks were established to support startup projects of students and young scientists in the agricultural sector, expand the dual education system, develop international academic mobility, and activate the volunteer movement among students.
Additionally, new initiatives are planned, including the "Best Agrarian Startup" competition, the creation of a modern "Book Cafe" style library environment, and measures to ensure student employment. During the Council, reports were presented on the university's financial activities for 2026, progress on international projects, and future plans. Discussions also covered improving the university's standing in international rankings, enhancing the activities of scientific circles within departments, and the current state of educational, methodological, scientific, and spiritual-enlightenment work in the faculties. Under "Miscellaneous Items," the Council approved the chairpersons for the Final State Certification Commissions for the class of 2026, recommended textbooks and monographs prepared by faculty members for publication, and approved dissertation topics and scientific supervisors. Issues regarding scientific ethics and plagiarism prevention were also addressed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant decisions were made on all agenda items. Simultaneously, an award ceremony was held for faculty members who received academic degrees and titles, winners of the State Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other named scholarships, winners of International Chemistry and Mathematics Olympiads, winners of the university stage of the "My Agro-Startup Project" competition, and winners of the university stage for "Most Active Faculty Dean, Deputy Dean, and Faculty Coordinator of the Year."
