On March 13–14, 2026, the third forum of rectors of higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan is being held in Dushanbe.
The forum, organized under the theme "Higher Education and Science in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan: New Horizons of Cooperation," is attended by representatives of the ministries of both countries, university rectors, and industry experts. Within the framework of the forum, issues regarding the development of higher education, science, innovation, academic exchange, and joint educational programs are being discussed. Tashkent State Agricultural University is actively participating in this prestigious forum. In particular, the University's Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Transformation, and Strategic Development, A. Abduvasikov, is attending the forum and engaging in negotiations to expand international cooperation in the fields of higher education and science.
As part of the forum, A. Abduvasikov participated in events held at the S. Ayni Tajik State Pedagogical University in Dushanbe and held meetings to strengthen cooperation with several higher education institutions. Specifically, memorandums of cooperation were signed with Dangara State University and the Branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan in Isfara.
