A meeting was held at Tashkent State Agrarian University to launch an important international project aimed at elevating scientific cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan to a new level.
The meeting was attended by Rector Narzullo Oblomuradov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Transformation and Strategic Development Abdugani Abduvosiqov, as well as representatives of leading Japanese higher education institutions. Among the guests were Professor Kayoko Yamamoto of The University of Electro-Communications, Professor Takuya Ban of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, doctoral researcher Shigeko Iwamoto, and specially appointed Associate Professor Hiroki Furukawa.
The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the JICA program “Improving Small-Scale Farmers’ Livelihoods through New Blueberry Production Areas and the Introduction of DX Technology.”
The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Department of Fruit and Vegetable Science of Tashkent State Agrarian University. It focuses on improving blueberry cultivation technologies, introducing digital technologies into agriculture, and enhancing the economic efficiency of farming enterprises.
