Scientists from Tashkent State Agrarian University have commenced scientific and practical activities in the Republic of Turkey within the framework of innovative joint project No. IL-9825035717, aimed at further strengthening scientific cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
As part of the project titled "Determination of Yield and Quality of Some Important Origanum L. Species in Turkey and Uzbekistan and the Study of Market Preferences," university scientists visited the Atatürk Horticultural Central Research Institute (Atatürk Bahçe Kültürleri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü) in Yalova, Turkey, and initiated scientific research in accordance with the approved work plan.
The researchers thoroughly explored the institute's modern laboratories, experimental fields, and advanced research on the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants—specifically Origanum L. species—as well as breeding practices, the enhancement of agrotechnologies, and product quality assessment. Additionally, productive discussions were held among project participants regarding the execution of joint research, organization of field trials, exchange of samples, laboratory analyses, and the prospects of publishing the results in international scientific journals and their commercialization.
