An international forum dedicated to the International Day of Rural Women is currently taking place in Tashkent under the theme “Women Farmers: Science, Innovation and the Transformation of Agrifood Systems.” More than 60 professors, teachers and students of Tashkent State Agrarian University are actively participating in the forum. The event addresses pressing issues such as gender equality, women’s economic empowerment, agricultural science and innovation, digital technologies, agribusiness, climate change adaptation, and food security. The forum features thematic sessions, an exhibition of products grown and processed by women farmers, presentations of agri-innovations and startups, as well as experience-sharing meetings.
