Under the guidance of Professor G. Kholmurodova, from the Department of Genetics, Breeding, and Seed Production of Agricultural Crops at the Faculty of Agri-Engineering and Agrotechnologies of Tashkent State Agrarian University, a field lesson was organized for students of group 23-57, majoring in “Greenhouse Farming Management.” During the session, students visited the “Fitotron” greenhouse complex, where, with the participation of senior researcher Sh. Sharipov, they learned about cultivating crops in greenhouse conditions, caring for wild and semi-wild plant forms, and conducting breeding research on them. The students also visited the PSUEAITI Biotechnology Laboratory, where senior researcher F. Mamedova demonstrated the process of extracting genomic DNA from plant tissues using the STAB method. It was emphasized that this method is highly efficient and provides accurate results.
In the course of the practical lesson, students personally carried out PCR analysis and performed DNA extraction from plant leaves, thereby strengthening their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
