A meeting was held at Tashkent State Agrarian University with the participation of the leadership and students of the Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Design, as well as representatives of the Agency for Increasing Forest and Green Areas and Combating Desertification

At the meeting, the Rector of the University, N. Oblomuradov, emphasized that today the training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of forestry and landscape design, as well as the integration of education with practice, is a pressing task. In this regard, strengthening cooperation with responsible sectoral organizations and improving students’ knowledge and practical skills in real production environments is of great importance. “This meeting will serve the implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the future and contribute to the integration of science and practice,” the Rector noted. After that, the Director of the Agency for Increasing Forest and Green Areas and Combating Desertification, E. Mukhitdinov, delivered a speech, providing detailed information on the development of the sector, current issues, and future objectives. During the event, Professor E. Berdiyev of the Department of Forestry and Landscape Design presented a report on scientific and educational activities, the process of personnel training, and practical work.

Within the framework of the meeting, an open dialogue was organized, during which students and faculty members received detailed answers to their questions. At the end of the event, the guests became closely acquainted with the ongoing development and construction works at the university, as well as with the activities of the Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Design. The most encouraging outcome of the meeting was that the Chairman of the Forestry Committee put forward important proposals, including the allocation of scholarships for students, the implementation of additional projects, sending students to paid internships, jointly developing educational programs between departments and production enterprises, establishing a nursery together at the experimental farm, and employing 100 graduating students.
