A meeting with the German Bundestag delegation was held at Tashkent State Agrarian University

Tashkent State Agrarian University hosted a roundtable discussion on the topic “Sustainable Agriculture and Education for the Future: Environmental Awareness and Innovations in Agricultural Education,” attended by the Bundestag (Parliament) delegation of Germany led by the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Food, and Development, Hermann Färber, as well as representatives of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Regional Program for Central Asia. The meeting was opened by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Transformation, and Strategic Development of Tashkent State Agrarian University, A. Abduvasikov, who spoke about the current state of cooperation with Germany in the fields of agriculture, science, and education, as well as the university’s priority areas — environmental sustainability, food security, and the development of an innovative education system. Members of the delegation delivered presentations on Germany’s agricultural policy, food security measures, environmental protection, and advanced educational practices.

During the roundtable, participants discussed in detail the development of the agricultural education system in Uzbekistan, scientific research activities, and issues of ecology and environmental protection. They also exchanged views on training specialists, implementing joint projects, and exploring prospects for further cooperation with Germany in the agricultural sector.
