At Tashkent State Agrarian University, a republican scientific and practical conference on the topic “Smart Management and Digital Solutions in Agricultural Production”, dedicated to current issues in agriculture, was held at a high level. The event brought together prominent figures from science and public sectors, international experts, and representatives of the IT industry, who exchanged experience on the digital transformation of the agricultural sector.
The conference was opened by the Rector of the university, Professor Narzullo Oblamuradov, and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Alisher Shukurov. During the discussions, it was emphasized that the transition to the concept of “smart agriculture” has become a priority direction of state policy in our country. For reference: The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 22, 2025, No. PF-189 serves as an important legal foundation for the development of artificial intelligence technologies in the sector.
Within the framework of the conference, participants exchanged experience in the following areas: Smart farming: Remote management of agrotechnical processes.
Resource efficiency: Optimization of water, land, and energy resources.
Monitoring: Digital control of crop conditions.
Today, TDAU is becoming a center for training “digital agronomists” for the agricultural sector:
More than 300 students are studying in the field of Information Systems and Technologies.
New program: Admission to the “Artificial Intelligence” program will begin from the next academic year.
Scientific base: In the near future, the “Modern Agricultural Artificial Intelligence Laboratory” will start operating at the university.
At the end of the event, active participants contributing to the digitalization of the sector and authors of innovative ideas were awarded certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts.
