At Tashkent State Agrarian University, a ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of Granting Uzbek the Status of the State Language was held under the motto “As long as there is language – the nation is eternal.”

Artworks created in honor of the university’s 95th anniversary left a strong impression on the participants. Guests visited the gallery, where unique pieces were displayed, and highly praised them. Beside the image of the Mother, young members of the “Bo‘ston” ensemble recited poems. The event was opened by the rector of the university, N. Oblomuradov. In his speech, he emphasized that the state language is the pride of the nation and the spiritual foundation, and called on students to cherish, enrich, and preserve their mother tongue. The celebration was attended by the prominent scholar and Navoi researcher I. Nosirov, Director of the “Fan” Publishing House of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan E. Murod, Editor-in-Chief of the “Fan” Publishing House, writer, orientalist and Navoi researcher O. Jumaboyev, member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, holder of the “Shuhrat” Medal, TV journalist M. Kamalova, as well as students of the university.

During the program, students performed ghazals of Alisher Navoi, a qasida by Erkin Vohidov, poems by Abdulla Oripov dedicated to the mother tongue, and various other literary works. In addition, the songs and dances of the “Bo‘ston” music and dance ensemble, national dances, and musical performances of different peoples filled the gathering with a festive spirit.
