According to the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly adopted on December 19, 2011, October 11 is celebrated worldwide as the International Day of the Girl Child. In this regard, Tashkent State Agrarian University organized a conference under the theme “With Girls Towards Progress!” The event was opened with a welcoming speech by J. Lapasov, First Vice-Rector for Spiritual and Educational Affairs of the university. In his remarks, he emphasized the wide opportunities created in our country for girls to receive quality education, strengthen their health, develop their talents and potential, and achieve professional growth. The conference featured speeches by Nilufar Yunusova, Chief Specialist of the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs; Sayyora To‘ychiyeva, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, and member of the Republican Movement “Oqila Ayollar”; and G. Shodmonova, Chairwoman of the University Council on Women’s Issues.
During the event, creative performances by the “Bo‘ston” ensemble and members of the “Lider Qizlar” club brought joy and inspiration to all participants.
