Soil assessment and land degradation

As a direction in the field of science and agriculture, one of the methods of accurate assessment of land quality by the characteristics that determine soil fertility is the assessment of its fertility (bonitization), i.e. assigning them a comparative score based on the main agronomic characteristics of the land, which plays an important role in the agricultural cadastre. Fertility rating is an assessment of the quality and fertility of the soil at an average level of agricultural technology and intensification. For rational and efficient use of land resources of our republic, as well as for more accurate planning of crop yields, a comprehensive qualitative assessment of soils is necessary, including a set of scientifically based methods and techniques for maintaining and increasing soil fertility in the cultivation of agricultural products, protection of soil resources and the environment.
