As previously reported, a special international training and practical seminar on “Sustainable Governance and Efficiency in Agriculture and Water Management” is currently being held in Tashkent.
As part of this event, an important international meeting was also organized at Tashkent State Agrarian University (TDAU). A delegation comprising more than 30 senior officials and leading specialists in the fields of agriculture and water management from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan visited our university.
During the visit, the guests became acquainted with the fundamental reforms being implemented in the agricultural education system, modern educational programmes, and scientific and practical developments.
The delegation was warmly welcomed in the university's main building, where the guests explored the Renaissance Lecture Complex and the university's educational environment. Musical and dance performances by the “Bo‘ston” song and dance ensemble added a festive atmosphere to the event.
A meeting with students and young researchers was held in the Alisher Navoi Lecture Hall. Modern research trends and international scientific opportunities in the sector were discussed in detail, followed by an engaging question-and-answer session.
The “Art Gallery” exhibition, organized in the outdoor area of the complex, also made a strong impression on the delegation members.
The guests additionally visited the Faculty of Standardization and Certification of Agricultural Products, as well as the departments specializing in Plant Protection and Soil Science. In particular, they explored the modern laboratories at the newly constructed Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Agrotechnologies, including laboratories for agronomy, beekeeping, soil analysis, and modern irrigation technologies.
This international engagement marked another practical step towards advancing agricultural education and science in our region to a new level, while strengthening the exchange of experience and cooperation with our fraternal and neighboring countries.
