Department of Coordination of Scientific Research Activities for Doctoral and Talented Students

Department’s Responsibilities and Functions:

As a structural unit of the university, it unites all scientific branches within the university (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral studies, student scientific societies, young scientists councils, scientific projects, study circles, etc.) and coordinates their activities; develops the scientific and creative activities of youth wishing to participate in startup competitions; organizes scientific circles in university departments based on students’ opinions to promote the development and realization of students’ scientific abilities; selects talented and capable students from among the students based on their specialization and recommends them to join scientific circles; engages students in scientific research, teaches them to carry out scientific research individually and as a team, and directs them towards developing their scientific and technical creative abilities; realizes students’ creative potentials, to develop the qualities, skills, and competencies important for qualified specialists or researchers, to promote the acquisition of foreign languages, and to direct students towards professional development abroad; to collaboratively organize actions, exhibitions, seminars, as well as student scientific olympiads and conferences with the aim of developing the scientific activities of doctoral and talented students; to recommend and direct talented students with potential for scientific activity to internal and state scholarships named after Tashkent State Agrarian University; to organize scientific circles at the university; to study the activities of the most advanced circles at the university, analyze their experiences, generalize them, and facilitate their dissemination among other scientific circles; to direct talented students studying at the university towards scientific activities based on their interests.

Information about the competitions held by the department:

Competitions include “My Agro-Startup Project,” the “Ministerial Scholarship” established by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “Agroinnovation,” “Ideaton – Uzbekistan 2030,” “Top 10 Innovator,” “Science Olympiad,” “Internal Scholarship of Tashkent State Agrarian University,” “Presidential and named state scholarships of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” “First Steps in Women’s Business,” “Agrotech,” “Best Materials Published in Scientific and Popular Science Newspapers and Journals,” “Future Inventors” related to physics and chemistry, “Agroengineering Science Olympiad,” and the “Scientific-Practical Student Conference “ Yangi O‘zbekistonda ilm-fan qaldirg‘ochlari” among other innovative projects, as well as “Techno Ways” and startup project and development competitions.

Achievements of the department:

In 2024, scientific developments, projects, startups, and author certificates created by students.

Funding grants have been allocated for the projects of 2 students who are the authors of startup projects; 2 students received patents, and 15 students obtained author certificates from the DGU; there were 198 participants in the “Mirzo Ulugbek’s Successors” Republican competition, including 47 at the district stage, 11 at the regional stage, and 6 students won at the Republican stage. In the scientific-practical conference ” Yangi O‘zbekistonda ilm-fan qaldirg‘ochlari ” held among higher education institutions in the system of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 10 winners were announced in the startup project competition; 20 winners in the “My Agro-Startup Project” competition; and 2 students participated in the “Innox Business Incubator” program.

Winners of State and Named Scholarships:

A total of 10 state scholarship recipients, including: 1 doctoral student with a Presidential scholarship; 1 master’s student with a Presidential scholarship; 1 bachelor’s student with a Presidential scholarship; 4 recipients of the Beruniy scholarship; 1 student of the Islam Karimov scholarship; 2 students of the Navoi scholarship; and 23 students who were winners of the internal scholarship named after Tashkent State Agrarian University.

Talented Students:
Articles published by students in national and international publications.

There is 1 article in the Scopus scientific database; 6 articles published in journals and conferences listed in international databases; 200 articles published in journals and conferences at the national level in the OAK list; and 500 articles published in journals with a high Impact Factor.

Other Achievements in Working with Talented Students:

1 student received the state award named “Zulfiya”; 3 students received the “Leader of Innovative Ideas” badge; 1 student received the “Leader of the Youth Academy” medal; 1 student won the Republican competition “Innovative Approaches and Startups in the Small Business Sector”; 6 students secured 2nd place in the Republican competition “Youth and Innovative Agriculture,” which included a trip to the People’s Republic of China; and 3 students actively participated in the international interdisciplinary scientific-practical competition “INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHER,” organized in English in collaboration with the “Science Box” research center in Uzbekistan and the Indian Journal, receiving certificates and medals in the best article nomination.

Achievements in Competitions:

Team victory in the “Academic Quiz” competition in collaboration with the Republican Council of Young Scientists; 1 student won the Republican “Volunteer Projects 2024” competition; 4 doctoral students achieved team victory in the Republican stage of the “Agroinnovation and Youth” competition; 3 students won the Tashkent State Agrarian University Science Olympiad; 3 students won the university stage of the “Young Programmer” competition; 3 students won the university stage of the “Ideaton – Uzbekistan 2030” project competition; 3 students won the university stage of the “First Steps in Women’s Business” project competition; and 3 teams won the “Teacher-Student” intellectual game.

Scientific Circles and Courses Operating at the Departments:

There are 32 scientific circles and over 1,500 student members; 24 educational courses with 300 student course members.

In 2023, Scientific Developments, Projects, Startups, and Author Certificates Created by Students:

In the “Mirzo Ulugbek’s Successors ” Republican competition, there were 102 participants, including 13 at the district stage, 7 at the regional stage, and 2 students who won at the Republican stage. There were 10 winners in the startup project competition; 20 winners in the “Agro Startup” project competition; and 20 winners in the “My Startup Project” competition.

Winners of State and Named Scholarships:

A total of 9 state scholarship recipients, including: 1 doctoral student with a Presidential scholarship; 1 master’s student with a Presidential scholarship; 1 bachelor’s student with a Presidential scholarship; 4 recipients of the Beruniy scholarship; 1 recipient of the Islam Karimov scholarship; 1 recipient of the Navoi scholarship; and 7 recipients of the “Ministerial Scholarship” established by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan; along with 31 students who were winners of the internal scholarship named after Tashkent State Agrarian University.

Articles Published by Students in National and International Publications:

There are 264 articles in Scopus and Web of Science journals; 480 articles in foreign scientific journals; 350 articles in journals listed in the OAK list; and 260 articles presented at international conferences.

Other Achievements in Working with Talented Students:

1 student received the state award named “Zulfiya”; 1 student received the “Builder of the Future” badge; 1 student received the state award named “Mard O’g’lon”; 6 students were winners of the Republican competition “Youth and Innovative Agriculture”; 1 student won the Republican competition “Student of the Year”; and 2 students from our university were winners in the photo competition dedicated to “World Food Day.”

Additionally, 1 student won the Network & International Exchange Development competition held by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan for undergraduate students; and 6 students participated in the World Food Forum held from October 16-20 at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome.

Scientific Circles and Courses Operating at the Departments:

There are 28 scientific circles and 354 student members; 27 educational courses and 300 student course members; within the departments, 10 service groups have been formed, engaging 60 students.

A total of 7 state scholarship recipients, including: 1 master’s student with a Presidential scholarship; 1 bachelor’s student with a Presidential scholarship; 3 recipients of the Beruniy scholarship; 1 recipient of the Islam Karimov scholarship; 1 recipient of the Navoi scholarship; 7 recipients of the “Ministerial Scholarship” established by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and 27 students who were winners of the internal scholarship named after Tashkent State Agrarian University.

Articles Published by Students in National and International Publications:

There are 4 articles published in journals and conferences listed in international databases; 155 articles published in journals and conferences at the national level in the OAK list,  and 456 articles published in journals with a high Impact Factor.

Other Achievements in Working with Talented Students:

1 student received the state award named “Mard O’g’lon”, 1 student received the “Shuhrat” medal.
