Education Quality Control Department

About the Department of Education Quality Control:

The department operates in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law “On Education,” resolutions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, resolutions and orders of the President, resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, orders and legal directives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, as well as the rector’s orders and the department’s internal regulations. The department regularly reports on its activities, problems, and shortcomings to the rector, the vice-rector for academic affairs, and the State Inspectorate.

Continuous monitoring of education quality, organizing internal and external audits. Analyzing and evaluating compliance of educational programs and specialties with state educational standards (SES), qualification requirements, curricula, and syllabi.

Studying the quality of the educational process at the university and the availability of textbooks and instructional materials.

Analyzing whether students’ knowledge aligns with state educational standards.

Ensuring the implementation of legal documents aimed at improving education quality.

Organizing internal university certification, identifying factors negatively affecting education quality, and informing the rector and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

Monitoring the timely elimination of issues and deficiencies identified during certification and education quality assessment.

Monitoring education quality indicators and providing suggestions to relevant departments for solving identified problems.

Analyzing the effectiveness of using modern methods and approaches in professional development of the teaching staff.

Conducting internal monitoring of professional qualifications of faculty members in university departments (faculties, chairs, divisions, centers, academic lyceum), preparing analytical data, and submitting proposals to leadership for improvement.

Reviewing whether faculty members’ basic education matches the subjects they teach, whether they have undergone retraining or hold academic degrees/titles in relevant fields, and submitting findings to the rector with the approval of the vice-rector for academic affairs.

Collaborating with the academic department to monitor the execution of educational, research, and methodological plans.

Analyzing the state of material and technical resources for the educational process and offering proposals for development and improvement.

Monitoring the organization and effectiveness of student internships according to educational directions and specialties.

Participating in data collection and assessment processes for determining the university’s rating, as instructed by the State Inspectorate.

Conducting social surveys among students, parents, faculty, and employers to assess the social climate, training quality, and education standards at the university.

Improving staff professionalism by learning international best practices through the “Iste’dod” Foundation of the President of Uzbekistan, international projects, and university initiatives, and applying them to the educational process.

Developing activities with university leadership to enhance the university’s international ranking and actively participating in their implementation.

Organizing training seminars and workshops in cooperation with relevant departments to improve education quality.

19

Establishing a pool of public experts at the university and regularly holding seminars with their participation on relevant topics.

20

Submitting proposals to university leadership based on the findings of education quality assessments.
