Khalmirzaeva Sayyora Shukurovna

In 1983, S.Khalmirzayeva graduated from the Faculty of Uzbek Philology at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan). She holds a degree in philology and is qualified as a teacher of the Uzbek language and literature. She is a Candidate of Philological Sciences (equivalent to Ph.D.) and an Associate Professor. She is the mother of two children.

 

She actively participates in spiritual and educational work aimed at fostering patriotism among the younger generation based on the spiritual values of the Uzbek people, promoting the prestige of the Uzbek language as the state language, and instilling a sense of love and devotion to their homeland — Uzbekistan.

 

From 1983 to 1997, she worked at the Folklore Department of the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (now the Institute of the Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan), serving as a trainee researcher, junior researcher, and researcher.

 

Since 1997, she has been engaged in teaching at Tashkent State Agrarian University, where she held positions as lecturer, senior lecturer, and, from 2000, Associate Professor in the Department of Languages. From 2002 to 2004, she served as Head of the Department.

 

Between 2022 and 2024, she worked as an Associate Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature. Since 2024, she has been serving as the Head of this department.

 

S.Khalmirzayeva is the author of 242 scientific, educational, and popular works, including one textbook, three teaching aids, 19 methodological manuals, one monograph, three collected volumes, more than 50 scientific articles published in local and international journals, over 50 papers and abstracts presented at international and national scientific-practical conferences, and more than 50 popular articles.

 

She is a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan. S.Khalmirzayeva was awarded the commemorative badge “O‘zbekiston Respublikasi mustaqilligining 30 yilligi”, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of November 8, 2022, as well as the II degree order of “Soglom avlod uchun”, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of August 26, 2023.
