As previously reported, an international scientific forum was held last week at Tashkent State Agrarian University. Within the framework of this forum, an international field seminar was organized at the university’s experimental farm under the theme: “Establishing a Cooperation Base for Modern Agricultural Innovations and Agro-Science between China and Uzbekistan.”The seminar was attended by representatives of Tashkent State Agrarian University, organizations under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, and large production enterprises of the People’s Republic of China. Participants familiarized themselves with the practical work, ongoing experiments, and their results being carried out at the farm.
In addition, the seminar featured the germplasm base of jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) established with the support of the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the PRC, as well as corn fields planted with varieties imported from China within the framework of an international applied project jointly implemented by Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
