Faculty of correspondence (distance) education

The correspondence form of education was established in 1933, and initially trained specialists in agriculture, fisheries, forestry, agronomy, plant protection, and sericulture.
In 1954, due to the increase in the number of students in the correspondence department, it was transformed into the Faculty of Correspondence Education.
In order to meet the increasing need for correspondence education, to prepare graduates as comprehensively mature, knowledgeable specialists, and to direct them to production, the position of vice-rector for correspondence education was introduced in 1982 instead of the position of dean of the faculty. Later, the position of vice-rector for correspondence education was abolished, and the faculty of correspondence education operated until 2005.
Until 1992, it trained specialists with a 6-year study period, and from 1995 to 2005, it trained bachelors for a 5-year period.

Based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 21, 2017 No. 930 “On the procedure for organizing correspondence (special correspondence) and evening (shift) education in a higher educational institution” and the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 8, 2018 No. PQ-3704 “On measures to radically improve the system of training higher education personnel at Tashkent State Agrarian University”, the Department of Correspondence and Distance Learning was reorganized in accordance with the order of the rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University dated May 22, 2018 No. 1-9-6/334.
Renamed as a Correspondence (special correspondence) department in accordance with the order of the rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University dated February 21, 2019 No. 1-9-6/152. Changed to the Faculty of Correspondence (distance) education in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 24, 2021 No. PQ-60 “On additional measures to ensure the independence of academic and organizational management of state higher educational institutions”, the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture dated November 24, 2022 No. 299 “On approval of the updated organizational structures of higher educational institutions in the ministerial system” and the order of the rector of the University dated December 1, 2022 No. 1-9-6/380.
