A field lesson was organized for 4th-year students of groups 22–54 of the Faculty of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Viticulture by D.M. Yakubova, Associate Professor of the Department of Organization of Vegetable Growing and Greenhouse Farming at Tashkent State Agrarian University. During the field lesson, students became familiar with the activities of the Institute of Plant Genetic Resources. They were provided with information about the activities of the National Gene Bank, technologies for preserving pure samples of vegetable and melon crop varieties, grape genetic resources, and the operations of field gene bank departments.
In addition, students received information about experimental schemes, newly developed varieties, and the conditions created for researchers. This field lesson contributed to strengthening students’ knowledge and improving their practical skills.
