An “Open Day” event aimed at strengthening cooperation between schools and higher education institutions was organized at Tashkent State Agrarian University. During the event, principals of general education schools from Qibray district visited the university and became closely acquainted with the modern facilities, educational processes, and the “Art Gallery” exhibition showcasing creative works prepared by students. The guests were particularly impressed by the laboratories equipped with advanced technologies and the innovative учебные аудитории (classrooms). The main focus of the meeting was on preparing applicants for higher education at a high level. In this regard, detailed information was provided about the intensive preparatory courses in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and English organized at the university.
It is worth noting that these courses are completely free for children from socially vulnerable families. Moreover, 10% of applicants who successfully complete the courses and gain admission with high scores will have 50% of their tuition fees covered. This initiative was recognized as an important mechanism for supporting youth.
Additionally, during an open and sincere dialogue with the Rector of the university, Narzullo Oblomuradov, students and teachers received detailed information about international joint educational programs, grant opportunities, and the current prestige of agriculture.
In his speech, the Rector emphasized that the modern agricultural sector is not only about fieldwork but also a combination of advanced technologies and digital solutions.
It was also noted that additional academic buildings and modern sports facilities for students are currently under construction and will be commissioned in the near future.
This meeting became an important step for school graduates in understanding the prestige of the modern agricultural sector and in clearly defining their future career paths.
