**INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS OF TASHKENT STATE AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY**

We are pleased to highlight the collaboration between Tashkent State Agrarian University and the FAO elearning Academy (). The FAO elearning Academy offers multilingual certified e-learning courses, free of charge, as a global public good. Through this collaboration, FAO’s global knowledge resources are integrated into the university’s academic environment, strengthening technical competencies, enhancing curriculum relevance and equipping students and young professionals with internationally recognized skills. This joint effort reflects a shared commitment to advancing sustainable agrifood systems through high-quality digital learning and international knowledge exchange.

We invite youth teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to take part in the Green & Digital Solutions for Central Asia Regional Hackathon, which will take place from March to June 2026.

This initiative aims to help young professionals develop #green and #digital skills to create practical solutions for sustainable economic and social development across Central Asia.
Hackathon tracks:

☀️ Solar & Energy Efficiency – digital technologies for renewable energy and energy efficiency
💧 Smart Water Management – digitalisation of water resource management systems
♻️ Waste & Circular Economy – services and solutions for circular economy and waste management
🗺 Climate Data & Eco-Monitoring – the use of satellite data, drones, GIS analytics and digital twins
👩🔬 Special nomination supporting women’s leadership in innovation and digital inclusion

Hackathon timeline:
✅ The main stage of the hackathon will take place online from 26 March to 19 April. Participants will first attend trainings and lectures, after which teams will develop their project idea, create a minimum viable product (MVP) and prepare a presentation.
✅ From late April to early June, national selection rounds will be held in a hybrid format. Selected top teams will represent each country in the final event.

The regional final will take place in person from 25 to 27 June at Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan, bringing together employers, international experts and representatives of the business community.
Participation requirements:

The working language of the event is Russian. Participation is free of charge, travel and accommodation for finalists at Issyk-Kul will be covered by the organizers;
The winning teams will receive a prize fund;
Teams of 2-4 participants, age 18-30; we particularly welcome female participants;
Please note that projects already on the market or previously presented in other programmes are not eligible for this hackathon.
