Atakulov Tokhtamurod Umarovich

Atakulov Tokhtamurod Umarovich was born on June 21, 1973 in the Bukhara region. In 1990-1995 he studied at the Tashkent Institute of irrigation and agricultural mechanization engineers.

He began his career in 1995 as a junior researcher and graduate student at the Central Asian Scientific Research Institute of Irrigation (SANII RI). In 1999-2004 he worked as an assistant at the Tashkent Institute of irrigation and agricultural mechanization engineers.

In 2004–2005, he studied for a master’s degree at the Netherlands International Institute for Geoinformation and Earth Observation. In 2006-2007, he served as the head of the Navoi region inspection of the state inspection “Davsuvkhozhaliknazorat” under the Cabinet of Ministers.

From 2008 to 2013, he worked as a chief specialist at the Department of Management of the Fund for Improving the Meliorative Condition of Irrigated Lands under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2013-2016, the state leasing company” Özmeliomashlizing ” operated in the positions of deputy head of the accounting and credit operations department, and later head of the Department.

In 2016–2017, he worked as the head of the department of the Main Directorate of Currency Assets and Liabilities of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2017-2018, he held the position of a leading specialist in the Department of information and analysis of rural and aquatic, agricultural and food processing issues of the Cabinet of Ministers.

In 2018-2021, he served as deputy head of the Department of introduction and research of innovations in the development of regions of the Ministry of innovative development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and later as head of the Department.

In 2021–2022, he served as Deputy Director of the Horticulture and Greenhouse Development Agency. In 2022-2023 he served as deputy director for coordination of activities of regional branches of the Higher School of business and entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers.

In 2023-2024, he served as deputy director of the Institute of budgetary and tax research under the Ministry of Economy and finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

From March 14, 2024, he served as the head of the Department of science, innovation and education development of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

From 2026 to the present, he has been serving as the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs at the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
