Boboyev Sayfulla Gafurovich

Boboyev Sayfulla Gafurovich studied at the Faculty of Agronomy of the Tashkent State Agrarian University from 1996 to 2000 and received a bachelor’s degree in the specialty “Scientist Agronomist”. In 2004-2006, he studied at the Graduate School of this university and received a master’s degree in the specialty “wheat germ and selection”.

He began his career in 2000 as a junior researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of Cotton Breeding and Seed Production of Uzbekistan. From 2006 to 2009, he worked as a junior researcher at this institute. In 2010-2012, he served as a senior research fellow at this institute, and in 2012-2013 as the head of the Laboratory of Acorn genetics and cytology.

In 2014–2016, he worked as a senior research fellow at the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology of the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. In 2017, he worked as a project leader at the Department of Biotechnology of this university, and in the same year as a senior researcher at the Research Institute of Agrotechnologies of cotton selection, seeding and cultivation.

In 2017-2018 he worked as an associate professor at the Department of genetics of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. During 2018-2024, he was the head of this department. In 2024-2025 he served as head of the Department of Botany and genetics.

From 2025 to the present, he has been serving as the acting vice-rector for academic affairs at the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
