Main directions: study and forecasting of atmospheric phenomena, analysis of climate change, collection, processing and evaluation of hydrometeorological data, scientific developments in the field of environmental monitoring and nature protection, scientific and organisational work at meteorological stations and centres.
Field of application: hydrometeorological services (Uzgidromet, Hydrometeorological Institute), organisations of ecology and environmental protection, meteorological services in the sectors of agriculture, aviation, construction and transport, research institutes and higher educational institutions.
