Plant protection and quarantine
Plant Protection and Quarantine studies the biological and ecological characteristics of pests, plant diseases and weeds that damage agricultural crops, their distribution areas and modern, environmentally friendly and effective methods of control.
Graduates of this programme are specialists with in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills in plant protection and quarantine. They can work in phytosanitary control bodies, plant quarantine services, research institutes, laboratories, agricultural companies and farms, as well as in organisations that control the export and import of products.
The educational process is organised on the basis of phytopathology, entomology, plant quarantine, plant protection technologies, integrated pest control, agroecology, diagnostics. Work is carried out in quarantine laboratories, field experiment stations, phytosanitary services and research institutes.
The main faculty that trains graduates is the Faculty of Plant Protection and Quarantine.
