Technology of cultivation and processing of medicinal plants
The master’s degree specialization in “Technology of cultivation and processing of medicinal plants” prepares professionals in the field of pharmacognosy, focusing on the cultivation and preparation of medicinal plants. The program encompasses the rational use of land, water, energy, and material-technical resources, as well as the optimization of production processes to increase the yield and quality of medicinal plant products. It includes the application of modern technologies in medicinal plant cultivation, the introduction of medicinal plant species required by the pharmaceutical industry, the implementation of modern technologies for seed and seedling production, and the organization of primary processing and storage technologies for medicinal plant raw materials.
Practical classes are conducted at the Faculty of Forestry and Landscape design, the Tashkent botanical garden, and the Research institute of forestry.
The main scientific and educational-methodological center of the program is the Department of Medicinal Plants of the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
