The speciality of viticulture and winemaking covers the rational use of land, water, energy, material and technical resources and the optimisation of production processes, the development of grape breeding, ampelography and seedling growing technologies, the organisation of the application of modern winemaking technologies to increase the yield and quality of grapes.The production processes of the above mentioned professional activities include intensive and extensive vineyards, vine plantations, farms specialising in harvesting and drying of grape raw materials, as well as research institutes specialising in viticulture; in secondary specialised and higher educational institutions, in institutions of advanced training and retraining of personnel, in educational institutions on special disciplines - project development, planting and maintenance of model vineyards, organisation and cultivation of grape seedlings; preparation and drying of grape raw material;conducting scientific research in the field of viticulture; Engaged in professional activities on the organisation of teaching of special disciplines in specialized secondary and higher educational institutions, as well as in institutions of advanced training and retraining of personnel.
