Recommended soybean varieties for planting: Uzbekskaya 2, Orzu, Selecta 302, Selecta 201, TDAU-5. Seeds must be selected and of high quality. Soil preparation: In autumn – deep plowing to 25 cm, apply phosphorus – 60 kg/ha, manure – 30 tons/ha. In early spring – leveling, harrowing, chiseling, preparing the field for planting.
When the temperature reaches 12–15°C, starting from the 2nd–3rd decade of April, as a main crop, seeds should be treated with nitragin strains and planted 4–5 cm deep with an additional 30 kg/ha nitrogen fertilizer. As a second crop, soy can be planted up to July 20 after wheat harvest. Treating seeds with nitragin (live bacteria that form a symbiotic relationship with soybean roots) leads to the formation of nodules on the roots 9–10 days after germination. These bacteria help the plant absorb atmospheric nitrogen and provide 200–250 kg/ha of nitrogen during the growing season. This process improves soil microflora, boosts and restores fertility, and accumulates 50–100 kg/ha of pure nitrogen in the soil for the next crop. As a result, nitrogen fertilizer use decreases, and economic efficiency increases.
Seeding rate: depending on soil and climate – 70–80–90 kg/ha.
Planting method: row spacing of 60–70–90 cm. With adequate moisture and a temperature of 15–18°C, germination occurs within 4–5 days. Depending on the conditions, the crop needs 4–8 irrigations during the season.
Vegetation period by variety:
– Early-maturing: 70–100 days
– Mid-early: 105–115 days
– Mid-maturing: 120–135 days
– Late-maturing: 135–160 days
After harvesting, seeds are dried, sorted, packed, and stored. It is advisable to sow them without waiting for the dormancy period, as longer storage reduces germination. Therefore, they should be planted the following spring.
