At the beginning, guests were presented with samples of the creative works of the university’s talented students. The “Art Gallery” exhibition, featuring works of art, left a deep impression on the audience, who highly appreciated the talents of the young creators. Afterwards, participants visited the exhibition “Rural Women and Innovations: Towards New Opportunities,” which showcased the scientific and innovative achievements of women scientists from Tashkent State Agrarian University. The festive event dedicated to the “International Day of Rural Women” was attended by Chairwoman of the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs Z. Makhkamova, Deputy Prosecutor General S. Artıkova, Deputy Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water Management and Ecology S. Abdikarimova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture A. Shukurov, Senior Advisor of FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia D. Abdurazakova, Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University N. Oblomuradov, professors and lecturers, as well as leading women in the agricultural sector, scholars, farmers, representatives of government bodies, international organizations, and students.
In her speech, Zulaykho Makhkamova highly praised the activity of rural women in the agricultural sector, their contribution to food security, the introduction of modern agro-technologies, and the development of farming culture. It was also emphasized that today, in various regions of the republic, the share of women in agricultural production is steadily increasing, making a significant contribution to the development of agriculture and ensuring food security. The documentary film “Creative Rural Women” was presented to the audience, dedicated to the work of such devoted women. During the event, a group of women from the Republic of Karakalpakstan and other regions, who made worthy contributions to the agricultural field, were awarded. Among them, it was a pleasure to note L. Jamolova, Associate Professor of the “Natural Sciences” Department at Tashkent State Agrarian University. At the end of the event, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan A. Shomagrupov, winner of the Republican Contest Kh. Samiyeva, laureate of international competitions S. Tulanova, as well as the “Boston” song and dance ensemble with their performers and dancers, delighted the audience with cheerful songs and dances.
