The main tasks of the department
The Department for the Coordination of Scientific and Innovative Activities organizes the coordination and commercialization of the activities of all scientific sectors of the university-bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral studies, young scientists, fundamental, applied and innovative projects, as well as educational and scientific experimental farms
The Department works in the following areas:
Control over the preparation and implementation at faculties and departments of promising and relevant fundamental, applied and innovative scientific projects for competitions based on the requirements of the Agency for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
Control over the methodically correct implementation of scientific projects in educational and scientific experimental farms;
Conclusion of contracts with project authors and production quarries, clusters and farms based on current legislation, monitoring their implementation;
Monitoring the implementation of international agreements on cooperation in the field of scientific and practical activities;
Organization of intellectual property training courses for professors, young scientists, doctoral students and gifted students;
Organization and participation in scientific councils, seminars, exhibitions, competitions and other events on commercialization of scientific and innovative developments;
Development of a mechanism for creating, collecting, storing and effectively using a database of R&D and experimental farms; Establishing cooperation with international scientific and educational institutions and public organizations;
To identify, evaluate and prioritize important scientific, technical and innovative developments; To offer financing for the department’s activities, innovative entrepreneurship and commercialization within the university budget;
Providing methodological and organizational assistance in the implementation of the obtained scientific results in practice.
Section Functions:
Annually develop a work plan and prepare reports on the activities carried out;
Determining the cost of services and products based on market requirements during commercialization, timely cost recovery and cost-effectiveness assessment;
Implementation of new technologies in cooperation with clusters, farms and manufacturing enterprises.
The status of scientific projects implemented at the University
The university’s teaching staff participated in the competition of fundamental, applied and innovative projects (2020-2024), held within the framework of the ditd, announced by the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during which 29 projects worth 25.3 billion were completed. soums.
Including:
In 2020, 4 practical projects in the field of agriculture won the competition, in total, the university received 2.508 billion soums.;
In 2021, 5,0374 billion soums out of 7 practical projects;
In 2022, revenues from 3 practical projects amounted to 2.1812 billion soums.;
In 2023, revenues from 6 practical projects amounted to 7.11603 billion soums.;
During 2024, 9 practical projects won the competition, resulting in 8.469 billion soums.
Status of commercialization of R&D results
In 2024, the university’s commercialization fund received 3,501.0 million soums in exchange for services provided to clusters, farms and manufacturing enterprises based on scientific results achieved by the university’s faculty.
