An educational event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the renowned poet, writer, playwright, statesman, and public figure Erkin Samandar, as well as the presentation of the writer’s book “Selected Works,” was held at the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan. The event was opened by the Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, Sirojiddin Sayyid, who also presented commemorative gifts to the poet’s daughter, S. Samandarova. Works by Erkin Samandar such as “The Youth of the World,” “The Sky Full of Light,” “The Jewel Called Fidelity,” and “My Young Manhood,” as well as nearly 20 poetry collections, have been published.
During the event, a video presentation dedicated to the writer’s life and creative work was shown, and songs composed to his poems were performed. More than 100 students of Tashkent State Agrarian University took part in the event.
