Second-year students of the “Sericulture and Mulberry Cultivation” program of the Faculty of Zooengineering at Tashkent State Agrarian University are participating in educational and practical training at the Sericulture Research Institute in order to strengthen their theoretical knowledge through hands-on experience.
Under the supervision of practice leader Umida Saidrasulovna Xudayberdiyeva, students are studying in practice the agrotechnology of rearing mulberry silkworms during their later growth stages, the process of placing mountages for cocoon spinning, the biodynamics of cocoon formation by larvae, cocoon harvesting, and methods of separating pupae by sex. At the same time, they are gaining essential knowledge and skills in selecting breeding cocoons, effectively organizing selection work, conducting scientific research in the sericulture field, and technologies for cultivating mulberry seedlings.
During the practical sessions, future specialists are also receiving detailed information about modern technologies, laboratory equipment, and the latest scientific developments in the field of sericulture.
