A new cooperation agreement has been signed between Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The partnership is being implemented within the framework of the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance for the Sound Management of Hazardous Chemicals.” Under this agreement, FAO will provide technical and financial support to the university in developing, piloting, and integrating modern educational programs on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and proper pesticide management into the curriculum. This cooperation includes the establishment of a National Working Group, identification of gaps in agricultural education, incorporation of IPM practices into the learning process, and the development and testing of new academic programs.
The agreement will be implemented until April 30, 2026, and will be financed by the project to support the activities of Tashkent State Agrarian University.
