Tashkent State Agrarian University had the honor of receiving an official visit from Professor Liu Chuang, a representative of the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
During the meeting and negotiations, the parties discussed the development of scientific cooperation and promising directions in the field of education. In particular, special attention was paid to the implementation of joint scientific projects within the framework of the global innovation exchange system, as well as the expansion of partnership under the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) initiative "One Country — One Priority Product."
The dialogue also covered the possibilities of applying Big Data technologies in the advancement of agricultural sciences, effective management of agricultural resources, and in-depth analysis of agricultural markets. The Chinese side expressed particular interest in Uzbek sweet cherries, which are exported annually from Uzbekistan to China and are in high demand in the Chinese market. Experts emphasized the vast opportunities for joint scientific research aimed at improving the quality and yield of this crop, further expanding export potential, and introducing innovative agrotechnologies.
Professor Liu Chuang's visit marked a significant step in strengthening the scientific and academic ties of Tashkent State Agrarian University with China's leading research institutions and further expanding international cooperation.
