Today, a roundtable discussion on the topic “Climate Smart Agriculture in Uzbekistan” has started its work in the city of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan. Within the framework of this event, issues of climate change adaptation, smart agricultural practices, and the creation of an agro-ecosystem in the Aral Sea region are being discussed. The event, held in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the World Bank, and the Karakalpakstan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology, is attended by our rector Narzullo Oblomuradov and a group of professors from Tashkent State Agrarian University.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tashkent State Agrarian University Rector N.Oblomuradov emphasized the great relevance of the topics being discussed today and put forward proposals for increasing the number of scientific projects and further expanding international cooperation in these areas.
