103 students conducted practical training in the Tashkent Botanical Garden, the Academician M. Mirzayev Research Institute and the Tashkent State Agrarian University Educational and Scientific Experimental Farm for 15 days. The students were divided into 5 groups, identified more than 40 plant diseases in their assigned fields, and studied them in depth. According to the experiments, the most common diseases were Alternaria (tomatoes, potatoes), Fusarium and root rot (wheat, vegetable crops), Rust diseases (cotton, grain crops), Mold and bacterial spot (melons and vegetables).
Each group took samples from their field and subjected them to microscopic analysis in the laboratory to determine whether the diseases were of fungal, bacterial or viral origin. More than 100 samples were studied. The 15 students who were most active and creative were awarded with certificates and diplomas.
