Within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, a summit forum on biological cotton breeding was held in the city of Aksu, People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by the Director of the National Center for Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation, academician Sh. Namozov, the Center’s Scientific Research and Innovation Advisor Z. Buriyev, Professor of Tashkent State Agrarian University Kh. Sheraliyev, and Associate Professors F. Toreyev and G. Khidirova. The forum was organized on the initiative of the Alliance for the Selection of National Biological Cotton Varieties and Innovative Technologies in the Cotton Industry of China. The event brought together representatives of China’s leading research institutes, seed production companies, and industrial enterprises working with cotton fiber.
As the host of the forum, one of the key members of the alliance — Xinjiang Jinfengyuan Seed Industry Co. Ltd. — actively participated in the event.
