In order to expand international cooperation of Tashkent State Agrarian University, study advanced practices in agricultural education and science, and develop joint research projects, a delegation led by Rector Narzullo Oblomuradov paid an official visit to the Kostroma State Agricultural Academy.
During the visit, the TSAU delegation held talks with the Rector of the Academy, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mikhail Stanislavovich Volkhov, and actively participated in the international scientific-methodological conference titled “Educational Activities of Higher Education Institutions in Modern Conditions.” The conference addressed issues of agricultural education development, integration of research into practice, and improving the positions of universities in international rankings.
As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on several key areas of long-term cooperation in the agricultural sector. These included expanding faculty and student exchange programs, conducting joint research in breeding, livestock production, and veterinary medicine, implementing DNA technologies in animal husbandry, developing cooperation in milk and dairy processing technologies, and improving breeding and agrotechnologies for berry crop production.
In addition, a trilateral memorandum on scientific research and technological cooperation was signed between Chuvash State University, Kostroma State Agricultural Academy, and Tashkent State Agrarian University.
The parties agreed to implement a special project aimed at improving local cattle breeds in Uzbekistan based on the gene pool of Russian breeding and modern DNA technologies.
It was also noted that more than 50 Uzbek students are currently studying at this prestigious institution in the fields of agronomy, veterinary science, engineering, and construction technologies. It was proudly emphasized that these students will in the future apply the advanced knowledge they acquire for the development of the agricultural sector of their homeland.
