The grand opening ceremony of the New Uzbekistan Student Olympics, being held for the first time, took place at a high organizational level at the Team Sports Complex of the Olympic Town.
The prestigious sporting event brought together the Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Sports, leaders of relevant ministries and agencies, sports organizations, rectors of higher education institutions, and student-athletes from all regions of the country.
The leadership and students of Tashkent State Agrarian University also took an active part in the event. During the Olympics, eight TSAU students demonstrated their skills in athletics (shot put, long jump, and triple jump), 3×3 basketball, and swimming.
Held for the first time on the initiative of the Head of State, this Olympics is an important sports project aimed at unlocking the athletic potential of university students, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and further developing mass sports among young people.
