Work Department

General Provisions

  1. The policy and status of the Technical Maintenance and Household Department of Tashkent State Agrarian University, its main tasks, functions, rights, responsibilities, organization of activities, and reporting procedures, as well as the functional duties and responsibilities of the leaders and employees, are defined by this regulation. It also regulates the directions for development, overall management of employees, leadership in the improvement of the university’s environment, maintaining the university buildings and surroundings in an adequate condition, organizing the servicing of these objects, as well as managing the equipping of academic, laboratory, and student dormitory buildings with educational and soft furniture.
  2. The department reports to the Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs and follows the established reporting procedures.
  3. The department operates in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the decisions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, decrees, decisions, and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the orders, decisions, and decrees of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other normative acts of the university, the decisions of the general meetings and council, and the legal orders of the university leadership.

Chapter 2. Main Directions and Functions of the Department’s Activities

  1. The main areas of work of the department include:
  • Organizing academic practice for university professors working in the field of agriculture, creating conditions for its implementation in department, laboratory, and lecture halls;
  • Monitoring compliance with fire safety measures by the university’s departments and faculty members;
  • Protecting state property and conducting inventory of material assets;
  • Preparing the annual plan for current and capital repairs of academic-laboratory buildings and student dormitories, as well as monitoring the completion of these repairs based on defect acts and project estimates;
  1. Conducting preventive measures to prepare university buildings and student dormitories for the autumn-winter season;
  • Assessing the conditions for tenants and cafeterias, and monitoring the contracts;
  • Preparing academic buildings and student dormitories for the academic year;
  • Constant monitoring of the hygienic condition of all academic and residential buildings on the university campus;
  • Ongoing control over autumn-winter preparation, window and door repairs, carpentry, and plumbing work;
  • Holding meetings with workers and service staff to address urgent tasks;
  • Monitoring the landscaping and greening of university areas, keeping them clean;
  • Managing the servicing of university buildings and the surrounding environment;
  • Providing educational, laboratory, and student dormitory buildings with necessary educational and soft furniture;
  • Controlling the efficient spending of funds and household materials allocated for operational needs;
  • Ensuring the fulfillment of tasks assigned to the university by government bodies, organizations, institutions, as well as individuals and legal entities, including entrepreneurs.
