One of the main priorities of the state youth policy in our country is ensuring employment, providing career guidance, and realizing the entrepreneurial potential of young people. At the meeting chaired by the President on August 8 of this year, important tasks were set to ensure the employment of higher education graduates. In addition, in his speech on June 30 – Youth Day – the Head of our State put forward initiatives to provide employment for more than 100,000 young people through the “Youth Business” program and for 140,000 university graduates through the “Step into the Future” program.
In this regard, special attention is also being paid to youth employment at Tashkent State Agrarian University. In cooperation with the Joint-Stock Company “O‘zmilliybank,” the “Kelajakka qadam” Center continues its activities, supporting students’ entrepreneurial initiatives. To date, 4th-year students of our university, together with the center’s staff, have implemented 35 business projects worth 500 million soums. Another important development is that in 2025, 200 second- and third-year students will have the opportunity to undergo paid industrial internships abroad. Furthermore, the large-scale Career Day Job Fair, held today, created great opportunities for graduates. More than 70 major employers participated in the event, including the Ministry of Agriculture and its system organizations, commercial banks, and representatives of the private sector. During the fair, a number of agreements on graduate employment were reached.
